ABSTRACT

The interrelationships between farm business and farm household decisions and activities are another important element of farm structure. Stanton indicates that "understanding the nature of change in (farm) structure requires conscious recognition of the role of the household in actions of family members" (Chapter 2). in a family farm setting, the decisions and actions of family members influence the course of the farm business and the welfare of the farm household. Therefore, it is important to investigate interrelated decisions and actions of farm families and their farm business.
