Structural Change in Farming and Its Relationship to Rural Communities

This chapter continues the theme of the preceeding section on "the factors that induce structural change in agriculture", but also pertains to the topic of this final set of chapters on "the impacts of structural change". That is because there is a two-way relationship between communities and farms. The structure of farming and changes in structure affect development in the communities in their midst, but communities also affect the structure of the farms that surround them.
