ABSTRACT
The report presents a description of the Russian recommendations of selecting the grain-size distribution of reverse filters - intermediate layers of soil that fit into the body of the dams to protect the fine-grained soils from mechanical suffusion. It provides examples of selecting grain-size distribution and soil parameters of reverse filters according to the formulas given in the Russian recommendations.
