ABSTRACT

Single Point Incremental Forming is a forming technique in which sheet metal is formed by single point tool on vertical milling center. In this work, the principle of Single Point Incremental Forming is applied to perform hole flanging operation. Formability of Aluminium 1050 sheet in terms of Limit Forming Ratio is obtained. Experiments were performed to check effect of tool diameter on thickness distribution and average thickness of flange as well as on flange height.
