ABSTRACT

Land transportation is one transportation type widely used by many people in Indonesia. Land transportation is considered having the highest accident risks. Traffic accidents frequently become the problems due to the drivers’ negligence and lack of disciplines to obey the traffic signs, as well as the perforated road conditions. Road detection is one most recently discussed topic in the research studies since public institutions, such as hospitals, police stations, schools, and etc. are connected by the roads. Many previous studies have discussed the implementation of augmented reality. However, the implementation of algorithm in decision making has not yet been developed. Therefore, researches on road detection have become one important topic to gradually develop. This study has implemented the Naive Bayes method to classify the damaged roads using the augmented reality map. The research data was taken from the accelerometer application in the previous researches [1]. This research has eventually resulted in the augmented reality map application to classify both minor and major damaged roads.
