ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to explore the model of the implementation of corporate social responsibility by MSMEs. The focus of the research was the activities carried out by MSMEs in implementing CSR. The method of data collection in this study was observation and in-depth interviews with MSME actors. The respondents of this study were the actor of MSMEs in Semarang who has run the business for at least 3 years. The exploratory studies were chosen to find patterns of implementation of CSR carried out by MSMEs towards employees, consumers, society and the environment. The model for implementing CSR by MSMEs found in the implementation of CSR that is integrated with routine business activities. The implementation of CSR by MSMEs is activities aimed at serving stakeholders as well as possible based on morality, ethics, and empathy for society and the environment. We propose that the model be used as a guide for MSMEs in implementing CSR principles.
