ABSTRACT

Rubber components exhibit changes in their mechanical properties due to mechanical loading and environmental conditions. The dynamic network model is considered here for numerical simulations of such changes. The identification of parameters of the model is examined with the main concerns being the conditions of identifiability and the reliability of identification results with respect to experimental data. Various types of mechanical experiments are considered and their impact on the process of parameters identification is examined numerically. A criterion for identifiability is developed based on quadratic approximation to the objective function and analysis of eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the approximation’s matrix.
