ABSTRACT

We consider Schrödinger operators https://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML">T≡−d2dx2+V(x)https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780429332623/d03ac290-bd50-452e-ba31-4edd6e078f1a/content/ieq0698.tif" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/>, where the potential function V is real-valued, and integrable over closed, bounded subintervals of [0,∞). No further assumptions will be made concerning the behaviour of the potential for large values of x, except to suppose that we are in the limit-point case at infinity. (This will be so, for example, if V is bounded, and in most other cases of interest in applications).
