ABSTRACT

Stealth development accepts a vital part in order to make the objects hidden by adversary radar. Most radar systems use Radar Cross Section (RCS) technique for isolation of targets and portrayal to stealth. The plasma cover on the objects helps in getting less RCS, and makes the object hidden by the enemy Radar, this is called Active Stealth Technology. In this paper, plasma is created around an object, like sphere, and its RCS is calculated considering various parameters like size, wave frequency and plasma frequency. The RCS from a perfectly conducting sphere is also calculated. RCS investigation is made for a plasma sphere as well for a perfectly conducting sphere at standard dimensions, and inference can be drawn that RCS is less for plasma covered sphere and appeared differently in relation to perfectly conducting sphere. Radar frequency range from 0.1 GHz to 40 GHz is used for investigation.
