ABSTRACT
Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) is a very useful tool in process modeling. The universal character of this approach lets also to apply this methodology into other areas of science, businesses etc. In this paper the use in maritime transport is described. First the event log of the ship’s example route was created according to the requirements of process modeling (XES standard). Next the BPMN model was created. Finally the conclusions were made and tips for further research were given.
