ABSTRACT

This paper takes a four-span continuous curved beam bridge with a span of 40 m as the engineering background, to study the mechanical performance of the composite curved beam bridge with corrugated webs during construction. The method of combining finite element numerical simulation and real bridge test is used to study the deformation and stress distribution of the section. The results show that rigid torsional deformation occurs in the middle section of each span in each construction stage, and the normal stresses of the upper flange and the floor of the steel box girder are linearly distributed along the transverse direction. With the progress of construction, the normal stress distribution of the concrete slab at the mid-span is more uniform along the transverse direction, but the normal stress distribution at the fulcrum is more uneven.
