ABSTRACT

Medium-small span bridge group in regional road networks are usually numerous and widely distributed. Most of their structures are relatively simple, and monitoring requirements are relatively single. In order to meet the economic and reasonable monitoring of the road network bridge group, evaluation parameters of the monitoring importance were determined from both operational safety and impact importance, including bridge technical condition, traffic volume, service years, radiation range, bridge span, bridge location, etc. An evaluation method of monitoring importance based on the ranking principle under the single criterion of analytic hierarchy process is proposed, and evaluation results are further optimized by combining the spatial distribution of monitoring bridges and the proportion of monitoring routes. Test results of engineering example show that the method is reasonable and versatile, and can provide reference for other engineering applications.
