ABSTRACT
The Renaissance altarpiece of San Juan Bautista coming from Antequera (Málaga, Andalucia) (Fernández Rodríguez, 1943). It´s was located in the Church of San Zoilo. But for several reasons, it was dismantled and today it is dispersed in serveral locations and fragmented into pieces. The Movable Property Restauration Service of Antequera City Council is carrying out the Reclamation Project of the altarpice with the aim of retourning it to its original environment.
This work presents a virtual reconstruction of the altarpiece morphology. It is based on the search, location and documentation of existing altarpiece fragments. The main aim has been the morphology recovery and material reconstitution by virtual documentation. This initiative contributes to the recovery of the memory of the cultural heritage, helping the conservation-restauration project.
