ABSTRACT
The organic system of farming is based on a maximally closed flow of energy without any additional outside inputs; therefore, it is a sustainable system that uses local and renewable resources. Control of harmful biotic (diseases, pests, and weeds) and abiotic factors is an integral part of the system.
