ABSTRACT

Supporting writing offers an ideal opportunity for research leadership. In the absence of an existing framework that the research students’ research area fits within, creating theory or frameworks that others can build on enables the field to grow. The author developed a conceptual model for designers to use during the design process, which incorporated a continuum of intuitive interaction that was part of her theory making. Many of the bigger publishers offer a lot of free help and advice on writing for publication. In many institutions and cultures, journal papers are the most highly prized publications. The pressure for staff and research students to publish research outcomes can be intense. The author now have an international network of researchers in Intuitive Interaction in Australia, Europe, the UK, Canada, the US, Japan, Taiwan and Africa, and have collaborated on publications and led publication projects.
