ABSTRACT

Healthcare is an all-time concern and providing healthcare facilities at the right time is one of the major challenges in the modern world. Health monitoring systems should provide healthcare services with good standard of quality at low cost. The expansion of mobile devices, universal internet, and cloud computing has started an era of Internet of Things, that enable researchers to make application specific solutions dependent on the interconnection between physical objects and the internet. The recent development in the areas of wireless technology and internet of things transforms the field of the novel epoch of healthcare. Wearable sensors enable collection of rich data which are used for evaluating the health of the patient by collecting heart rate, temperature etc. The proposed smart health monitoring system monitors and transmits bio-signals of humans in real-time wirelessly. It consists of three subsystems to monitor heart rate and blood oxygen concentration, temperature and fall of the person via wearable sensors. The extracted parameters are uploaded into cloud through internet of things. Communicating this data to medical facilities allow proper diagnosis and enables accurate decision making. This proposed system is low cost and portable.
