ABSTRACT

The test involves a car model which is provided with 16 pressure taps where one pressure tap is located in the front and other at the rear of the model. The model is supported by an overhang balance. The wind tunnel test is performed in order to determine the influence of speed, yaw angle and angle of attack on the aerodynamic performance of the model. The model is tested for wing angles 0, 4, 8 and 12 to determine the forces, moments and pressure distribution data for each of the pressure taps. The data are obtained using Scanivalve ScanTel software and analysis of this data helps understand how performance and efficiency of a car can be improved.
