ABSTRACT

In the present study, the ethnobotanical observation of wild, as well as cultivated Solanum of Tripura state has been recorded. The state bearing a rich diversity of both wild and planted species of Solanum which are consuming more or less by the different community of the state. The present paper highlights on eight species of Solanum of which three of them are cultivated. The species with their botanical names, local name(s), distribution, availability, flowering, and fruiting period and their mode of utilization by local people has been enumerated in alphabetical order.
