ABSTRACT

Z-Mohr Tunnel will be one of the main strategic tunnels allowing continuous passage from Laak district to Kashmir, in Northern India. This 6.5 km tunnel under ZoJi-la pass (at an altitude of 3.528 m) will make Srinagar and Kargil passable all year. Currently the road is closed 7 months a year, due to the snow.

The tunnel is currently in advanced digging phase by JV APCO- TITAN and the final linings will be realized with hydraulic self-propelled steel formworks. To keep the executive programs of this major work, we planned casting sequences on several work fronts, considering the operative recommendations of the designers.

All the steel formworks are designed and realized with the most modern and tested technologies integrating tunnelling equipment, to keep and compress the final lining cycles of the work.
