ABSTRACT
The Mobile Imaging & Mobile Mapping “MIMM” System, mounting Mobile Imaging Technology System (MIS) and Mobile Mapping System (MMS) on the same vehicle, was developed in 2010; practical use in the assessment of tunnel soundness was verified with the system, which was then applied to many tunnels at the practical level. This vehicle does not require traffic control and deformation can be accurately detected; while traveling at high speed, it continuously carries out the image measurement and laser measurement of the surveyed tunnel wall surface. Here, regarding the evaluation of deformation caused by external force, we report on the external force assessment of tunnels in which deformation due to external force is suspected and also on the verification of progressiveness in an actual size large tunnel.
