ABSTRACT

In recent years, the decision-making of emergency response tends to be complicated due to the expansion of the construction scale and the increase of internal complexity of the utility tunnel. However, the support provided by existing research to emergency managers remains on the assignment of on-duty personnel and the matching of emergency plans. The design or the study of utility tunnel, as a closed space underground, needs more information to guide the emergency response, such as the location of related emergency control equipment, and the planning of emergency repair path. Therefore, this paper proposes an emergency analysis method based on BIM (BIM_EAM). A modified geometry network model (MGNM) is constructed based on BIM, and an emergency analysis algorithm is proposed to guide the emergency response in a dynamic manner. In this paper, the BIM_EAM method is integrated into the AI-steered operation and maintenance platform of the utility tunnel, to verify its effectiveness.
