ABSTRACT

The final lining structures of recently and nearly recently built bored tunnels are essentially constituted by a ring of reinforced (or not reinforced) concrete, conventional excavation or mechanized excavation, bound at its outer contour by the mass of rock/soil crossed by the tunnel. This study wants to focus attention on elements that are important in order to find the stresses, and therefore in order to check the structural safety, of the final lining structures of bored tunnels, in case of fire.
