ABSTRACT

Designed as one of the major entrances to the new Greater Paris subway system (the Grand Paris Express), Noisy-Champs Station has become one of the major flagship projects. Noisy Champs will be an interchange station between the Lines 15 & 16 (two new rapid transit lines from GPE network) and an existing suburban railway line (the RER A line) with a daily traffic of 150,000 people and serving a large surrounding population. Designed by Jean-Marie Duthilleul, this major hub can be explained as an open garden leading passenger down through its space to the platforms. Passengers enjoy this special urban landscape from their arrival until their departure. Noisy-Champs is one of the most significant current projects in Paris’ suburban Ile de France region, a project where the greatest designers, builders and coordinators are working hand in hand to ensure the realization of this new symbolic gateway to Paris
