ABSTRACT

Citybanan is a newly opened double track railway line in Stockholm, consisting of a 7 kilometers long double track tunnel, with two new railway stations underneath the urban city of Stockholm, with a very complicated design, such as; a vertical alignment varying from +10 meters above the sea level down to –40 meters below the sea level at the lowest point, and with several very near passes of existing infrastructure, consisting of various types of service tunnels and to that also the Stockholm Metro, with subway services running constantly from early morning until late night all week long.

This document will act both as a general view of the of the importance for the client of a project to establish a structural approach and create conditions for consultants and contractors to make it possible to execute drilling and blasting in close vicinity of an existing metro station Odenplan, with secure, solid, stable and traceable measurements of movements and settlements, that are reliable with respect to legally issues during the construction phase.
