ABSTRACT

Cloud computing services are in high demand because they can reduce the cost and complexity of owning and managing computers and networks. Customers have no investment in information technology infrastructure, purchase hardware, or buy software licenses because these charges are covered by cloud providers. Cryptography can help in mitigating the security, privacy, and trustiness issues related to the large adoption of cloud computing. Addressing the security, privacy and trust issues which result from hosting data in cloud platforms must be assured by cloud providers. Moreover, users must also ensure appropriate integration of the cloud computing services with their own systems for managing security and privacy. In this section, we sketch some cryptographic solutions used to address privacy, security, and trust issues in cloud computing. Undoubtedly, cryptographic solutions can help to mitigate security, privacy, and trust issues in cloud computing environments.
