ABSTRACT

Network security is regularly ignored or may be in complete well-thought-out, while installing the wireless network. People purchase essential network devices, link it, switch on the power, and finally have unrestricted wireless connectivity for the entire fellow citizen within its communication range. The concept of Bluetooth ad-hoc network has also highlighted with its secured infrastructure and numerous vulnerabilities are also presented. Lastly, the concept of Worldwide Inter-operability for Microwave Access security has also been presented including its protocol architecture, its security vulnerabilities, and its possible countermeasures. The roaming characteristics of a WLAN can be used across multi-standard organization. The aggregate advantages of streamlined accessibility and preservation, and the autonomy to roam reduce expenditure and provide administrative simplicity and enhance productivity of employees. A broadly used method of WLAN is “Encryption.” Encryption is a technique to encrypt data beforehand it is transmitted over the network so that it is unreadable to attackers.
