ABSTRACT
We focus briefly on some of our recent achievements to advance the frontiers of finite element procedures. The advances pertain to the development of methods for dynamic analyses, specifically for transient and frequency solutions, optimal low-order shell elements, a novel 8-node 3D solid element, and the development of the AMORE paradigm using overlapping finite elements.
