ABSTRACT

A study regarding the safety against crosswinds of a high-speed train running over two possible solutions for a railway bridge belonging to the future high-speed railway network in Russia is presented. To achieve this, a series of dynamic train-structure interaction analysis were carried out in order to obtain the safety factors according to each scenario. The wind load is modelled based on the Chinese Hat gust scenario defined in EN14067-6, considering a maximum gust speed of 34 m/s, which is the maximum wind speed measured in the meteorological stations located near the construction site.
