ABSTRACT

The training of designers for the footwear industry is an area in higher education still with little expression in the universe of sub areas that today specialize design. Access to literature that describes, prescribes and analyses teaching experiences in this area is therefore also not expressive or even non-existent. In this context, this paper aims to contribute to all the players involved in the educational process of footwear designers, as well as providing information so that this process is effective in the evolution of students and prepare them for their respective professional reality. It describes a process of design and development of footwear collections for the fashion industry, compound by seven phases and that with its real application through an immersive business experience simulation allow students to develop technical, emotional, aesthetic, functional, productive, commercial and social skills.
