ABSTRACT

The process of applying entrepreneurship becomes one of the forms of social change in the industrial sector. This system will be very helpful in reducing problems related to socioeconomic status. Therefore, the low competitiveness of small business groups of women is largely due to the weak skills and low literacy of the entrepreneurial competencies, commonly called as entrepreneurial literacy. This study aims to find out the relationship between entrepreneurial literacy and the competitiveness of the convection business among woman entrepreneurs. The research method employed a constructive paradigm through interview with and observation on the convection entrepreneurs, the participants of the literacy learning, the literacy learning organizers, and the local entrepreneurs. The results showed that the understanding of entrepreneurial literacy of the women is still limited and the ability to improve competitiveness is hampered by the lack of optimal availability of resources and understanding of the social structure of the community.
