The tourism sector has become one of the rapidly growing services sectors in the world. This sector has increasingly become an important driver for economic and social development for many countries. The methodology used in this study is regression and pooling data. Sample data is taken from member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the period 2002–2016. Secondary data is taken from several sources, including the World Bank, the World Travel and Tourism Council and the United Nations World Tourism Organization. This study was conducted to find out whether the tourism sector can stimulate economic growth in ASEAN member countries. It was found that the contribution of the tourism sector to gross domestic product is significant.
