ABSTRACT

This study describes Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers’ knowledge of child development assessment in Jabodetabek. Ninety teachers of Early Childhood Education (ECE) who worked in the Jabodetabek region participated in the study. Data collection of teachers’ knowledge of child development assessment used multiple choice test. The data was analyzed using a quantitative approach. The teachers in this study had diverse educational background and teaching experiences. The results show that 60% of teachers were able to answer more than 50% of questions regarding preparation for early childhood assessment. The data also showed that 31% of teachers were able to answer more than 50% of questions regarding implementation of early childhood assessment and 21% of teachers who were able to answer more than 50% of questions regarding reporting on early childhood assessment.
