ABSTRACT

The prefabricated composite steel-wood beams will create slip effect on the interface. It will increase deformation, reduce beams’ bearing capacity and influence specimens’ use function. In order to analyze composite beams’ mechanical properties considering slip effect on the interface, eight composite beams have been fabricated and bending test have been finished. Hot-Rolled H steel is used as the main framework, and the larch is fixed on the two flanges of steel by two ways–bolts and epoxy resin glue. On the basis of the elastic-plastic assumption, calculation models of composite beams have been established. They are mainly about integral bending moment, local bending moment, section stress and yield bending moment. Meanwhile, the calculation formulas of section elastic stress and yield bending have been given. Compared with test results, yield moment calculated from models on the section is smaller than the theory, and it has better accuracy. Therefore, it provides a convenient and feasible method to calculate beam section stress and yield bending moment.
