ABSTRACT

This paper describes the outcomes of short-term tests on glubam-concrete composite (BCC) beams for bridge. Two types of connection have been tested: screw connector (SC) and notch connection (NC). Different variables include numbers and types of connection. Four-point bending tests to failure were performed on four full-scale BCC beams with 8.0 m long. All BCC beams with different connections exhibited satisfactory mechanical performance under short-term loading conditions in this investigation.
