A 13-year-old boy is brought in by a school coach after he complained of sudden onset of left hip pain during soccer (football) practice. There was acute onset of pain after he had kicked the ball with his left foot. There is increased pain at his left hip with internal rotation of his left leg in extension. He is unable to bear weight.
