ABSTRACT
A 12-year-old boy is brought to the emergency department by ambulance with confusion and a severe headache after falling off of a ladder. He is able to speak but is using inappropriate words and cannot form sentences. He localizes pain in all extremities and his eyes open to verbal command. He is taken for a CT scan and the image is demonstrated next (Image 40.1).
