ABSTRACT
A 15-year-old male presents to the emergency department due to right foot pain. He was at home earlier in the evening when he accidentally dropped a glass onto the ground and it broke into several small pieces. He was barefoot at the time and attempted to walk away but felt a sharp pain on the bottom of his right foot. He reports a small laceration where the pain is located that was bleeding initially, but has since stopped. He denies any other injuries. The patient's immunizations are up to date.
