ABSTRACT
Electrolytes and fluids are mandatory for the proper functioning of the cells, tissues, and organs in the body. Electrolytes including sodium, chloride, potassium, calcium, phosphate, magnesium, and bicarbonate, and selected phytopharmaceuticals along with vitamin C maintain important biological properties such as physiological pH in various tissue compartments, otherwise adverse health consequences can occur. These constituents are crucial for the basic physiological functions including metabolic and energy homeostasis, inhibiting oxygen free radical generation, free radical scavenging, cell communications, cardiovascular well-being, muscle performance, and pH balancing, etc. Electrolytes are continuously eliminated through urine, sweat, feces, skin sloughing, and menstruation. A deficiency of alkalinizing electrolyte buffers induces chronic anemia syndrome, currently misconceptualized as iron deficiency anemia, due to the expenditure of alkalinizing histidine from the iron-bound heme protein. The iron is not excreted but is repartitioned from the blood to other tissues. Therefore, restoration of these electrolytes is very important for preventing non-genetic anemia and for normal physiological and biochemical functions. A proprietary Prodosome Technology integrates solar dried electrolytes and phytopharmaceuticals to optimize electrolyte performance. Whole food concentrates and botanical extracts augment electrolyte functions and ATP production, boosting nitric oxide without L-Arginine.
