ABSTRACT

Housing is a central component of daily life, and it is intimately inter-related with its socio-economic, cultural, and political environment. The housing market and housing policy in South Korea (hereafter Korea) are the inevitable products of the economic development, political system, and housing norms and preferences of the country. Urban housing is perhaps as diverse as the people living within it, and the dynamics of the housing market directly reflect socio-economic status and cultural diversity.
