ABSTRACT

Due to the greenhouse effect, acid rain and much more causes recently changing the earth’s climate and demand for more electricity. It shows another path to find a new source of energy that is relatively cheaper, sustainable and emits less carbon. For this solution, solar energy showed promising results. But just producing renewable energy is not sufficient, day by day we are seeking to maximize the output. Energy producing is directly proportional to the energy saving i.e. even if in existing producing system, anyhow we succeed to save energy that matters a lot.In a Solar Photovoltaic system, maximum efficiency is 44% for silicon-based solar cell. Solar cell energy conversion efficiency for industrially accessible available multi-crystalline Si solar cells is around 14-19%.Though it’s ideal to use more and more solar power, but high installation cost and lower efficiency of Photovoltaic modules are the major obstacles to utilizing such an enormous energy source. To reduce these disadvantages, several studies done. Therefore, to achieve maximum power in a PV system; a maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method becomes a necessity. There are distinct algorithms are used to reach at the maximum power point. Some of the most popular algorithms are ‘Perturb and Observe’, Incremental Conductance Method, Fuzzy Logic.
