ABSTRACT

The chapter briefly discusses how to approach a child with cerebral palsy in the outpatient clinic. Evaluation of a child with cerebral palsy requires a team approach. To comprehensively examine the child, it is necessary to know the normal parameters like gait, selective motor control, tone, reflexes, etc. Also, it is important to identify joint contractures and lever arm dysfunction, which are frequently noted in these children. The chapter also discusses individual joint examination and upper limb evaluation in these children.
