Application of XBRL as an electronic format for financial communications in the Russian Federation

This article considers the application of the XBRL format as a digital platform for the organization of financial communications in the Russian Federation. The main subjects of the pilot project for the implementation of the XBRL format in the Russian Federation were identified. The article reveals the main advantages and limitations of the use of the XBRL format and the complexity and difficulty of the transition of financial communications for the Russian economy.
