This study investigates the accession of students’ human capital by means of higher education, which is directly related to the research of experts from the World Economic Forum (WEF). In particular, the article examines the following aspects: the quality of higher education and methods for assessing the criteria and indicators of student’s individual human capital. The study used several methods: the method that uses natural (temporary) assessment, measurement of human capital (education); methods of analysis (principles and methods of system analysis, logical-structural and comparative analysis); the calculation of the human development index, the method of integrated assessment of individual human capital of students, based on the use of computer programs. Based on the test data of relevant criteria and modules, obtained from the calculations of test program results, we could create an individual trajectory of the high school student’s human capital expanding, which in the future will create a favorable development of human capital in general, namely, the development of innovation and productivity, and allow to master the necessary production or management skills.
