ABSTRACT
This chapter concerns the application of carbon membranes in biogas upgrading. The chapter reports the experience of running a small pilot-scale carbon membrane upgrading system on site in Norway. The biogas, generated from municipal and food waste, was successfully upgraded to biomethane quality and used as fuel for cars. The chapter also discusses the pitfalls and experiences gained in the construction of the said pilot plant.
