ABSTRACT
An automatic focus technique has been developed on an off-axis reflective zoom optical system for the first time, to the best of our knowledge. The off-axis three-mirror reflective zoom optical system is based on three mirrors. The focus measurement function and the hill-climb search algorithm have been developed and optimized in the system. The results pave the way for a novel object detection technology based on an off-axis reflective zoom optical system.
