ABSTRACT
During the commencement of electric power systems, the generationload balance was easily met due to the large active and reactive power availability by the generation units. The transmission system operated with low levels of stress and the major concern was related to the development of reliable equipment for transmission and distribution systems. Such systems were considerably small and easily operated.
