ABSTRACT
In order to comply with the international and national procedures (European Union directives, the electrical energy laws, network codes), the system operators must ensure the access of all users, including producers holding renewable energy sources, to the public electrical network (Romanian Electricity Market Operator 2018). The important benefits, which these electrical energy generators that use renewable sources offer regarding environment protection, diversification of energy sources, technology development and innovation, reduced cost of primary energy (especially for wind and solar), as well as the inexhaustible character, makes them very attractive for a society’s sustainable development. However, the constraints related to safe operation of the electrical power system must be carefully considered (Romanian Transmission System Operator 2018).
