ABSTRACT
36This chapter studies the effect of various acid-catalytic systems on the degradation of unbleached softwood cellulose. Evidence on the extent of change cellulose fibers as a result of chemical action was obtained by the device L&W fiber tester. Shown, that solutions of titanium tetrachloride in hexane as compared to others acid-catalytic systems are most effective for degradation of macromolecules cellulose.
