ABSTRACT

This chapter provides an insight view of the green smart water and sanitation system where different techniques and experiments have been explored to design it further to a much better level. With the rapid detrimental effects incurred by non-renewable energy sources and chemical fertilizers, the reusage of treated waste creates a much wider scope to bring improvement to the current scenario. Due to this very reason, various technologies and features of green smart water management (GSMS) and green smart sanitation system (GSSS) are discussed in detail. The chapter also explains how the modern-day ICT frameworks can help in designing GSMS and GSSS for emerging smart cities around the world. Apart from this, the reusability of water and treatment/purification methods are also summarized in addition to methods of reusability of human waste as fertilizer.
