ABSTRACT

This paper presents the development of an enrichment book based on an Augmented Reality (AR) application of a water rocket for senior high school students to enhance their literacy in physics. A total of 69 students from SMAN 77 Jakarta participated in this research. They did a pretest and post-test, before and after reading the enrichment book and running the AR application. The data collection was conducted by applying the OECD’s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) literacy instrument test. Through virtual objects in the AR application, students got the real experience of physics theory application. The data show that the book and the AR application are appropriate to enhance student literacy in physics.
